Technology

HAADS units are suitable for commercial and domestic use. They are a compact, portable, standalone system with a small footprint analogous to a refrigerator, dishwasher, or laundry washing machine. They can also be scaled to be as big as a large room. Units are powered by 110 volts via an electric outlet, portable generator, or solar power. And, like a dishwasher or laundry washing machine, after items are loaded, and the disinfection and the deodorizing process starts, user involvement is only needed once the cycle completes.

HAADS ADVANTAGE

HAADS is a technology that makes “high-level” disinfection possible outside of hospital settings
in a form factor that is fast, portable, scalable, and environmentally friendly. Disinfection is
achieved by converting atmospheric oxygen to “atomic oxygen” or reactive oxygen species (ROS).
This process does not require reusable disinfection chemicals and does not leave behind any
residue or harmful exhaust. This platform has broad applications, especially in environments
with a high risk of easily transmissible infections, such as childcare, public safety, law
enforcement, contact sports and disaster settings.

How it Works

HAADS generates a gas that penetrates porous and non-porous surfaces to kill pathogens that conventional cleaning can not reach or kill. It’s catalytic system converts exhaust into oxygen and water vapor, making it environmentally friendly and safe for indoor use.

Superior disinfection: in preliminary testing, HAADS killed almost all viruses, fungi bacteria, and bacterial spores—the hardest contaminate to kill
Does not make items wet
Does not leave a residue
Does not produce residual off-gassing, such as the residual toxic smell of chemicals like bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or peracetic acid
Uses lower temperatures compared to autoclaving, resulting in less wear and tear on materials
Has deodorizing properties
Does not use chemical disinfectants, so there is no need to refill the disinfectant.
Uses oxygen to create ozone
Produces environmentally friendly by-products of oxygen and harmless water vapor
Automated process: minimal training or user involvement is needed
Portable with low power consumption rate; can be run on a portable 110v from an outlet, generator or solar panel
Safe for indoor use; no need for supplemental ventilation systems

Use Cases

First Responders

In post-disaster areas and environments in which National Guard and U.S. Military personnel are assigned, reduce infection risk by having an on-demand ability to disinfect personal and shared equipment via a fast, efficient, and portable low-temperature method of disinfecting and deodorizing quietly and safely.

HAADS has many other applications that solve the problem of disinfecting without requiring excessive time to use expensive or harsh disinfectants manually. So, it saves money and frees personnel to do other tasks. And, since it disinfects and deodorizes in 15 to 29 minutes, it also saves time.  Football equipment and hockey equipment, including shoes for both amateur and professional sports.  High-level disinfection will also deodorize items and extend the life-time of equipment which still works well, but in many cases, smells too terrible to wear.
